Frequently asked questions

Do I really need to have my trash can cleaned?
"Germ transfer" happens with trash cans. It could be from you or your family's hands or from the trash truck or the trash collectors' gloves. Common bacteria found in trash cans are e-Coli, salmonella, and listeria. If rodents are present then Yersinia pestis could be as well. Yersinia Pestis is also known as "black death or black plague". These bacteria enter trash cans and are on can lids and exteriors from leaking or breaking trash bags, un-bagged trash, pet waste and more. Bacteria multiply quickly and a trash can could have 411 different bacteria per square inch.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. We offer month-to-month or quarterly cleanings with no contract. You may also choose to do a one-time clean. If you sign up for month-to-month or quarterly cleanings and cancel after the first cleaning, we reserve the right to charge you the balance of a one-time clean rate since the first cleaning is the most time-consuming.
How does your professional cleaning differ from how I can clean it?
We use a curb-side cleaning system that comes to you after your trash can or recycle bin has been emptied. Our system has a robotic arm that grabs the trash can or recycle bin and lifts it upside down over a 360-degree spinning spray nozzle using high heat and high-pressure water to perform the cleaning. This method kills 99.9% of the bacteria.
What if there is a problem with the cleaning or I'm not happy with it?
At Bin Cleaned we offer the only 100% trash can clean guarantee in Greeley and surrounding areas. This means, if you are not pleased with your cleaning and we are unable to correct it, we will not charge you or we will give your money back.
What do you mean by "eco-friendly" trash can cleaning?
With traditional, manual trash can cleaning, many people say they use a lot of bleach or other harsh chemicals which later is poured in their yard or down the city storm drains (which is against city regulation due to causing groundwater pollution). Because we utilize state-of-the-art equipment with high heat and high pressure, we don't need to use harsh chemicals and the result is a better clean with real disinfection of bacteria to eliminate odors. Our system also automatically captures the dirty water so we do not need to dump anything into the storm drains or on your property or yard.
When do you perform the cleanings?
Most neighborhoods are scheduled the day after trash collection and on recycle bin collection week since many of your neighbors will also have their recycle bins on a cleaning schedule. Some areas have same day service depending on collection day and other factors. You will be notified by text and/or email the day before your scheduled cleaning date. If you see that you are scheduled the day after your collection day then you do not need to leave your trash can at the curb. Leave the cans empty and we will be able to begin our routes earlier so the cleaning should be done in a more timely manner and not so late in the day. If you can leave it at the curb, GREAT! This allows us to get to cleanings faster and we appreciate that! If you must move the cans up from the curb overnight, please leave them where we can easily find them to perform the cleaning and as usual, we will put them back up from the curb for you after the cleaning. We have been performing next-day service for many clients in neighborhoods with strict HOA guidelines without any complications.
